Nawab Malik claims Param Bir and Waze planned Antilia bomb scare

PUNE: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik today alleged that former Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh and sacked assistant police inspector Sachin Waze had planned and executed the bomb threat near industrialist Mukesh Ambani's residence 'Antilia' on February 25.

Talking to reporters here in Pune, Nawab who in recent times has been making allegations against Narcotics Control Bureau’s (NCB) Mumbai zonal director Sameer Wankhede and his family members said that both Singh and Waze had 'misled' the state home ministry in connection with the Antilia bomb scare case and termed NCP leader Anil Deshmukh's resignation as the state home minister as being politically motivated.

According to Malik after the two had staged the bomb scare incident, both Singh and Waze had also planned a fake encounter of a goon by showing him as a Pakistani national with the help of a bogus passport and they had both given wrong briefings to the state home ministry to divert the attention of the state government.

He said that if Mansukh Hiran the owner of the SUV in which the explosives were planted (who had been later found dead and Waze is being investigated for his murder ) had not been killed by the two or had he surrendered at that time, then both the cops had planned the fake encounter of the goon, showing him as a terrorist, and responsible for the Antilia bomb scare incident.

Malik claimed that the central National Investigation Agency (NIA) investigating the case had found a fake passport at Waze's house and the same had also been mentioned in the 'panchnama' of the seizure of the same, however the same has not been made public by the agency.
